General Terms and User Obligations
1. Acceptance of Terms — By accessing the Shmelt Studios website (shmeltstudios.com) or using any Shmelt Studios Figma plugin (including BatchStudio), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, do not use our website or plugins.
2. Our Products — Shmelt Studios develops and publishes plugins for Figma. Our plugins are distributed through the Figma Community and operate within Figma's plugin environment. Use of our plugins also requires compliance with Figma's own Terms of Service.
3. Subscriptions and Payments — Some of our plugins offer paid features via subscription. All payments are processed through the Figma Payments API — we do not handle your payment information directly. Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation are managed through Figma. Refund requests are subject to Figma's refund policies. Free tier features are available without a subscription and may be subject to usage limits. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable Use — You may use our plugins for personal and commercial design work. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our plugins; use our plugins for any unlawful purpose; attempt to breach the security of our proxy server or any related infrastructure; use our proxy server independently of the plugin for purposes other than its intended function; or redistribute, resell, or sublicense our plugins.
5. User Content — Our plugins process content you provide (such as CSV data and image URLs) to populate your Figma designs. You retain full ownership of your content. We do not claim any rights to your designs, CSV data, images, or any other content you create or process using our plugins.
6. Image Proxy Service — BatchStudio includes a proxy server that fetches images from URLs you provide in your CSV files. By using this feature, you confirm you have the right to use the images at the URLs you provide, you understand that the proxy server accesses third-party URLs on your behalf, we are not responsible for the content, availability, or licensing of third-party images, and we do not cache, store, or retain images processed through the proxy.
7. Copyright and Intellectual Property — All Shmelt Studios plugins, including their code, design, branding, icons, and documentation, are owned by Shmelt Studios and protected by copyright. Free Figma template files published to the Figma Community are provided under the terms specified in each file's Community listing.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties — Our plugins are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that our plugins will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all Figma features or updates.
9. Limitation of Liability — Shmelt Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Third-Party Services — Our plugins may interact with third-party services (such as image hosting platforms). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
11. Modifications to Terms — We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law — These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Utah for any disputes arising from these terms.
